When the National Transport Plan in 2017 decided that all sales of new private cars by 2025 should be 100% emission-free, NAF believed that Norway needed 5,000 new fast chargers. The Electric Vehicle Association – with its 110,000 members – estimated that 8,000 was a more realistic figure. Greenstat thus saw an enormous need that had to be met if our infrastructure was to withstand the coming change.
With support from DogA and the Design-driven Innovation Program (DIP), FORM was brought in as a design and communication partner right from the start in 2019, and the goal was to develop what would become Norway's very best fast-charging station.
